Windows 10: How to switch my microphone being detected as a 'headphone output' and set it as input only.

I am using a 2024 ASUS Zephyrus G16, and I just got a bunch of new peripherals for it. I got the TONOR TD510 XLR, which is a USB & XLR microphone. Because I wasn't looking to use an xlr interface because of lack of desk space, I'm using the USB-C to USB-A cable provided in the box it came with from the manufacturer. However, when I plug it in, it is being detected as Headphones and as output only, it isn't being detected as an input both in device manager and in windows settings but instead is marked as an audio output. I have a pair of Bluetooth headphones I got with it and I really want

Microphone output switched to headphones microphone output

Just a few minutes ago i encountered an issue when i tried to talk with my friend

My microphone output switched to my headphones microphone output for no reason and i have no idea how to fix this and change the main microphone output to the one it used

And this is a bad thing because the microphone in my headphones is really quiet

Would be a great help to write a solution

 

Audio input not switching to headphones

I had upgraded to Windows 11 in my Acer Nitro 5 a while back which runs Realtek audio drivers. At first there used to be a popup allowing me to choose which audio device I had plugged in (headphones/headset) where headphones would have output to headphones and input from the integrated microphone while headset switched both output and input to the headphones. But recently, the popup stopped showing and I am unable to switch the input audio from the integrated microphone to headset microphone despite going through settings and control panel. Is there a solution for this?

 

My headphones will not act as an input and output device

Hi, I have a Astro Gaming A10 headset. My headset has a mic and I'm able to both speak and listen when i use it on Xbox. However when i plug it into my Windows 11 PC it will only detect as an input, allowing me only to speak, or as an output, allowing me only to hear. When i look at the sound settings it will only show the headphones as input or output and will not appear if i click on the opposite setting. These are the microphone specs

• Microphone: 0.24 in (6 mm) uni-directional microphone
  
• Ear coupling: Over-Ear
  
• Connection: 0.14 in (3.5 mm) 5 Pole Jack
  
• Drivers: 1.30 in (33 mm) Neodynamic
  

I made sure to check if my computer was updated and that the headphones are not physically broken. Essentially i can only have input or output on the headphones.
