Windows 10: How to switch to a local account while maintaining personalization.

I'm desperately trying to remove the account which currently administrates this computer and switch to a local but the option was removed because Microsoft is the most annoying company on earth. All I wish to happen is to be signed in to no Microsoft account and preserve the way my PC looks now. I could sign in with another account but then all of my apps were signed out, wallpaper changed, and settings were lost. The option to make a local account used to be in settings but since it is gone now I do not know what to do.

Switching to a local account - error: 0x80004005

Error 0x80004005 is an unspecified error that normally occurs seen when the user cannot access Shared Folders, Drives, and also when Windows Updates fails to install. With this in mind, we would like to know more details:

• Before trying to switch to a local account, what was your last activity on your computer? Was there an upgrade or update installed?
• Are you the account administrator on this computer?

Meanwhile you may try the following steps to switch to a local account:

• Click on the Windows Logo Start.
• Click on the Settings Gear icon.
• Click on the last icon Update & Security.
• Select Activation.
• Click Add a Microsoft Account.
• Sign-in with your Microsoft Account.

Now, try to switch to a local account.

Local Account password changed to Online Account Password

Hi,

I suggest you to follow the steps on how to switch from Microsoft account to Local account:

• Click on search in taskbar and type account.
• Click on Accounts.
• Now, under Your account, click on Sign in with Local account instead.
• Enter your Microsoft account password for confirmation and then follow the screen instruction.
• Enter User name credentials for your the Local account and click OK.
• Now, login to Local account.

Switch Back to Existing Local Account from Microsoft Account

I already identified that I had tried this, and that it did not allow me to switch back to the original Local Account. The Microsoft Account hijacked the User Name of the original Local Account. When I click "Sign in With a Local Account instead" and enter
the original User Name, Windows 10 won't proceed. The only way to get back to a Local Account is enter a new User Name.
