I currently have my photos arranged in subject folders 65 primary folders with 29 subfolders within those 65. I need to review the photos by date regardless of subject; therefore, I need to arrange all photos by date TEMPORARILY. I need to be able to easily return them to their subject folders when I'm done with the date review. Options seem to all the photos to be arranged by date within each subject folder, but not across all folders. Is this possible?

    :)

  2. Sort by Month - How do I arrange my photo's by month?

    Hi. Please follow these steps:

    1. Click Start, type File Explorer, and then press Enter.

    2. On the File Explorer window, click the View tab.

    3. On the Panes ribbon, click Navigation pane, and then select Show libraries.

    4. Expand the Libraries folder and click Pictures.

    5. Right-click on an empty space on the view pane where you can see your photos and select Arrange by > Month.

    6. After completing the steps, you may check if you’re able to arrange your photos properly.

    Hope it will help.

  3. Sort by Month - How do I arrange my photo's by month?

Hi there, this has been asked before but the resolution suggested has not worked for me.

When I imported photo's from my phone it would automatically put them in separate folders based on date in my Pictures via Libraries, since about Sept 2019 it's not done that, it might be the phone software not Windows but I want to arrange my pictures by
    month based on date taken.

I've got Windows 10 and when I try to organise my photos I go to the Navigation pane or right click in the folder and then click sort or group by - and it only gives me options to sort by date. I can click on 'more' for further options and the closest I
can get is 'date taken'. This orders the photo's but it does not group them separately, which means I have to right click on them individually and check properties to see when they were taken. Preferably I would like them grouped under a title or heading that
specifies the year and month they were taken.

Other people who have asked and the answer's given don't work for me:

WINDOWS 10- Has the option to arrange photos by month been removed?

    Can't arrange folders by date

This seems like an easy one at first but not for me.
I get play memories to download my photo's from my camera to the computer and it stores them all in a folder called camera photos. When looking at the sperate folders arranged by the date they are all out of order. I have gone to sort by and tried by date, date created, date modified and so on but the folders will not go in the order I want them. Example: 20 jan 2016...20 feb 2016....19 may 2017....23 june 2017 and so on..

Here are my folders and if you look they are all out of order.
