Windows 10: How to transfer all of my data to a new PC? windows

I need to know how to transfer all my Windows data to a new PC in case something goes wrong with my current one.

How can I transfer data (no programs or windows just setups and games)from one HDD to another please tell me all the steps, I have heard that in 2 sata if there is a window installed in both of them it could cause a problem. So, here is what I'm going to do so correct me if I'm wrong. both of them Are SATA WD

1 using XP CD going to delete the C partition in old HDD
2 taking the HDD out
4 partition the new HDD in new PC by using XP CD
5 install Win 7
6 connect the old HDD with SATA data and power cable
7 check if it is detected in bios
8 disk management initialize disk(i don't know if this is necessary)
9 copy paste

 

Transfer of data to new pc

You can do some steps to the Windows on the old computer to help ensure it will boot on the new computer. What does your device manager look like? Specifically you will want to uninstall SATA drive controllers and NVME controllers (if they are in device manager.) Just right click on them and uninstall. Do not check the box for uninstalling drivers. Do not restart the computer.

Then set Windows to boot into safe mode. Again do not restart the computer.

Now, make your backup image. Do not restart the computer before making the backup image. The next time windows will start in Safe Mode, on the old computer you can just go back in and uncheck the safe mode box, apply and restart. Now when you restore that image to a new computer, it should also boot into safe mode. Hopefully it will add whatever storage/disk drivers you need for the computer and then you can cancel safe mode booting. The only reason this might not work is if the new computer needs to have Intel Rapid Storage Technology drivers and they are not present on the old computer.

 

Transfer of data to new pc

Hello, I have just bought a new pc and wanted to know about transfer of data from the old pc to the new pc. I regularly backup the whole of the c/ drive to an external drive. The new pc is coming with windows 10 pro already loaded. My c/ drive will have my existing windows 10 Home on it, what will happen if I transfer the backup to my new pc? Will there be a problem with the OS? Does the old OS not transfer or should I be looking at file transfer? Thanks for any help
