Windows 10: How to Transfer Data from an NVME Enclosure to an Updated Windows Laptop

Hi,Please could someone help -I recently had my Lenovo gaming laptop Windows 11 updated with a new SSD to increase my storage, and I've bought an NVME enclosure to transfer the data from my old NVME to my new SSD installed in my laptop - however, I'm bad with technology and I've no idea how to do this and I'm terrified of doing something wrong and losing all my data. I've successfully inserted the old NVME into the enclosure and connected it to my laptop, and it's reading, however I'm a bit lost with where to go from there and I'm overwhelmed by all the different articles/advice on how to do

Nvme enclosure "No Drivers are Installed for this device"

Hi, it is a Samsung 980 Pro M.2 nvme in a USB m.2 nvme enclosure.

I have updated all motherboard and USB drivers, no change. Please advise possible next steps...

USB thumb drives work fine.

Problem in transferring Data to HDD SATA hardware enclosure kit

Hello all, I recently purchased a HDD SATA hardware enclosure kit for the purpose of retrieving data from my old laptop that has died. I received the package, followed directions, plugged it in, with two USB ports, then nothing happened. I could hear that
the disk in the enclosure was spinning, however, nothing appeared on the screen. I even went into Device Manager and looked under installed hardware and it was not listed. I even tried to reset my pc and have the enclosure plugged in during the reinstallation
process. Subsequently, I had to return the hardware enclosure. Does anyone have an idea why this particular device would not work in Windows 10? Thank you

 

Is a NVME Enclosure Required For Cloning?

Like majority of ppl who know what they are doing with cloning, do majority of them bother buying the nvme enclosure to do this? Or not since they could just stick the new nvme in it? I read the reviews and it seems almost all the ppl that buy the nvme enclosure... its because they are transferring from one nvme to another nvme... and thus need it because there aren't 2 nvme slots in a laptop.

Well youtube videos are good but issue is most videos you can't see exactly the full detail of what they are doing.


Okay so i looked at the nvme enclosure and it seems there are tons of bad reviews on it. Many say it has issues. That confuses me because i have a 2.5 inch enclosure and all you do is put the 2.5 inch ssd into it and just plug it into laptop.


Do you know why ppl have so many negative reviews about the nvme enclosure?


Also do you think if you were to ask a repair shop to clone the new 1tb nvme ssd with the old 2.5 inch samsung ssd... they would use an enclosure.... or would they just have both hard drives in there to do it? If you had to clone the new ssd yourself... would you make sure you get the nvme part or not? I thought it would be more simple with it but the more reviews i read, i can't believe how many negative reviews it has.
