    How to transfer Recovery partition from old SSD to new one


    Hello, I want to ask how do I transfer Recovery partition from my old SSD to my new one?Sometime ago I went from smaller SSD to a bigger one, but in the process I deleted the recov. partition on the NEW SDD so I cloud allocate the new space. At this moment I still have the old SSD with the recov. partition but it is in an external enclousure and not in the PC, thus it wont do its job if a problem occurs.How do I move or copy the recov. partition so it can accualy work?Thank you

    New Windows 10 Installation on new SSD made old Windows 10 on Old SSD Unbootable

    It looks like the new install (if you installed with both SSDs connected has updated the other partitions on Disk 1. This is why the old SSD won't boot and the new one won't boot on its own.

    If you disconnect the old SSD then the new one won't boot, correct?

    If you remove the new SSD can you repair the old SSD from the USB install media.

    Then connect the new SSD and disconnect the old SSD and clean install again on the new SSD so it has its own EFI and recovery partitions.

    How To: Create recovery partition.

    it worked when i copied all the files of the disk to the recovery partition i created, but i had to use WinPE tab to add the entry.

    Type: WIM Image (Ramdisk)
    Name: Recovery
    Path: Z:\Sources\boot.wim
    and hit Add Entry
    I tried it in VirtualBox and it worked.
    At first, it would add a second "Windows 7" entry to the list, but when the installation is finished, the old one is deleted. (I formatted only C: partition)

    I removed the new SSD but the old one still cannot be repaired by the USB install media.
