Windows 10: How to transfer windows ownership without resetting the pc

I want to sell my Alienware m17 r4 laptop. I dont want to reset the pc because all is working now. I have reset it in the past and after the reset I had problems with sound, and the battery charging, and the cpu locked on base speed. Also was loss of some alienware drivers. I did a lot of work to get the pc to working fine after the reset. I dont want the new owner to have the same problems if I reset it again. I simply want to sell it working as it is now, with no problems. All I want to delete is my personal files and personal apps. Also gone would be my microsoft account. I just,very simpl

Hey! Thanks for replying!

• The account on the desktop being transferred to my mom is a Microsoft Account, I also use it on my current laptop.
• I purchased MS Office 2010 for her, she said she should have the disc/product key but will look today.
• I wish to transfer ownership of MS Office 2013 currently on the desktop, I've upgraded to MS Office 2016 on my laptop.
• One of the main reasons I'm handing this down is the condition of her computer and that my gifted computer has been sitting for about six to eight months. It may have been longer but ... Should I update Windows prior to transferring ownership?
