Windows 10: How to transfer Windows to new SSD during upgrade to W11

I want to take the upgrade to W11 but I want to do it with a fresh install to a new drive, I am offered the upgrade in update so if I use the offered update will I have the option to choose the drive and will it be OK to do this. This will not only leave me a ready made backup I also want to use a newer 2TB SSD drive for my OS rather than the current 1TB SSD W10 is currently on.Thanks for any help.

Upgraded Windows Transfer from HDD to SSD

My windows was upgraded from 8 to 10 on my laptop few years back. I was trying to get the HDD replaced with SSD. During the copy process, the technician said windows cannot be moved to SSD as it is an upgraded version from 8 to 10.

Kindly guide if there is a possibility to copy the windows to SSD ? If so, please suggest the steps.

 

How to transfer W10 License to W11

I stupidly thought that if I was going to have a new PC, I might as well put W11 on it and, as I mentioned, having had problems which could not be solved with one PC when I upgraded from W7 to W10, I got afraid of having something similar happen when switching from W10 to W11, silly of me I guess, especially now that I find out that W11 is still half baked with (luckily until now) small problems that are more irritating than crimpling. I actually blew a couple of dollar on an additional 1TB SSD-M2 yesterday to do just what you suggest and I feel like a fool for buying W11.

If you upgraded from a retail box copy Windows 7, it has retail transfer rights.
