Windows 10: How to turn back finger log in option on laptop? I am an Acer user and updated to Windows...

- updated to windows 11 - finger log in option is unavailable not and cannot be changed back- went to check drivers for my laptop and download them but still no change

Acer Laptops :are they crap ?

Acer makes a cheap prodcut period. They user lower end plastics, as well as assembly. (I hate working on Acer laptops)

If budget is an issue then get an acer... though for $50 more you could get a gateway that will smoke the acer in terms of quality.

For a laptop though i would suggest one of the DV7T's from HP or a Business class Toshiba/HP/IBM (not the lenovo branded, the Thinkpads)

 

Windows automatically turns on three finger tap after update.


I am a avid user of the two finger scroll option on my Synaptics touchpad, but now that I have upgraded to Windows 10 it is getting increasingly harder to use it due to the search bar popping up. It mistakes my 2 finger scroll for a 3 finger tap and it became annoying. So I ended up turning off three finger tap in the mouse options. Simple enough, now here's the problem. Every time I turn off my computer or laptop and then turn it back on, an update shows up and Windows turns it back on again! Anyone having the same problem? Would love to get to the bottom of this and turn off three finger tap search for good. *Mad

To turn off windows updates in windows 7 follow these steps:

Click the start button, in the search box type in 'windows updates', click on 'windows update'
in the search results list, in the left side of the windows update window click 'change settings'
then in the option bar select 'Never check for updates'.
