  1. How to turn comment details on by default

Hi, At work, my coworkers and I have started to add comments in the document's properties in file explorer to have better traceability and hopefully cut down on confusion. An issue we are running into though is every time file explorer is closed and reopened or we navigate back and forth between folders the comment section disappears. Is there a way to turn on the comments as a default in file explorer? Thanks for the help!

    :)

Turn off comments on Windows Spotlight?

I've 1) Chosen None for the detailed status app 2) Changed Local Group Policy to not show Windows Tips in

Computer Configuration\Administrative Templates\Windows Components\Cloud Content\Do not show Windows Tips and 3) Switched Lock Screen to Picture, turned off "Show fun facts, tips and more" rebooted and turned Spotlight back on.

None of those steps are working to disable the annoying and intrusive text comments that have suddenly become a feature of Windows Spotlight, which I had been enjoying up until now. Microsoft, please provide an option to just see the pictures, not "What
can be cuter than this baby sloth," and "Did you know that blah blah blah?"

Lost default photo viewer after profile rebuild

Thanks Brink. I've tried those steps before i started searching Google. After the profile rebuild i don't have the Photo app listed to choose to make it default in either the system settings for default apps or the Open With option.

I can't even find it doing a search. Seems to have been removed somehow with the profile rebuild, which doesn't make sense.

Might be helpful to list what i've done How to turn comment details on by default :) I've done the open with check, the choose default program in the system menu, tried that in device manager default programs also. I've checked the programs and features Turn windows features on/off and it's not listed there (never thought it was but that was a suggestion), searched the MS Store, it's not listed there either.

I don't like playing in the registry unless i have defined steps and haven't found anything for this yet, just the Win7 version like in my OP.

How to turn comment details on by default

Comments and tags not saved or disappears

    Hello,

Could you please answer few question:

    • Are you not able to see the Comments section in the file or the comment is missing for the MP3 file in the file section?
If the Comment section is missing, I suggest you to follow the steps and check if it helps.

Right click on the categories where you see the file section and click on more and scroll down and check on Comments section and check if it helps.

And issues with Microsoft Word 2010, suggest you to post your query in on the below link and check if it helps.

    Redirecting

    Hope this helps.
