Asking for permission to use Firefox or Chrome

    Hello,

Based on what you already mentioned, it looks like we still need additional information to address your concern. To better assist you, we need the answers to the following questions:

    • Were there any changes made prior to this issue?
    • Can you send us a screenshot of the stop message that you're getting?
If you're getting the error message You'll need to ask an adult in your family if you can use Google Chrome, it seems that you're using a child account. To remove it simply follow the steps on this
    link.

    Looking forward to your response.

  3. Ask For Permission On Google Chrome???

Yesterday, I tried to start up google chrome when it gave me the message:

    Ask for permission
You’ll need to ask an adult in your family if you can use:

    Google Chrome

So I checked my family settings and I'm an adult in the family. When I click 'ask by email' nothing shows up in my inbox, and II still can't use google chrome. Any suggestions?

Windows 10 - Chrome and firefox are not working

This helped me with Chrome but not with Firefox.

I opened Control Panel>Troubleshooting>Programs>Advanced, Run as Administrator and then went through the steps. My problem was the Chrome wouldn't start at all, so I went through the steps and it asks what program you're having problems with, I chose Google
Chrome, it'll go through a short diagnostic and then give you the option of Troubleshoot Program & then it gives a list of problems. I chose the first one: This program worked in earlier versions.... then click next, I clicked Windows 7, then next and it did
it's little fix. I tested and Chrome opened up just fine.

No such luck for Firefox, though.
