Windows 10: How to Turn Off Auto-Fill of Word File Name

Ever since I upgraded to Windows 7, back in 2010, I have been plagued by a problem that has forced me to repeatedly cancel a Save-As action and, in some instances, has caused me to inadvertently overwrite irreplaceable files. That problem is the Auto-Fill feature of Save-As, which fills in the name of the new file I am trying to save with the name of any other file in the folder over which I may accidentally have happened to move my cursor. This is not an infrequent occurrence. In fact, it happens almost every time I try to save a new file with Save-As

Spelling auto-correct isn't working

To resolve your issue about Spelling auto-correct, we suggest that you follow the steps below:

• Use the Windows + I keyboard shortcut to open the
  Settings app.
• Navigate to Devices and go to Typing.
• Under Spelling, switch the Auto-correct misspelled words and Highlight misspelled words to the Off position.
• Restart the computer.
• After restarting the computer, go to the same settings page and turn back
  On the Auto-correct misspelled words and Highlight misspelled words
  feature.

How do I add a custom word to the auto correct function when typing?

When you type the word you wish to add, tap the word to highlight it, then in the suggestion ribbon you'll see the word at the left with a "+" in front of it. Tap the word and it'll be added.





I have done that many times and the only effect I've seen is that the word doesn't show underlined anymore. I never see the word added to the list of suggestions or correcting what I write. Is there anything in particular that needs to be done?

 

Auto word suggestion and swype dont function anymore

Please help guys! I updated my phone to "windows phone 8.1 new". I was happy with all the new features. The word suggestions and swype worked perfectly fine for a week but now the auto word suggestion and swype does not work anymore. Please help how can
