I get it! must have to update! But why without asking and closing my open windows?!I did some work and put the PC to sleep before I sleep. I woke up and saw the PC was turned on and all my opened windows are gone.It happened a couple of times to notice that whenever an update is available, it does that. It's not always possible to turn off the PC. What's the best solution? Do I really have to switch to Windows Server for this one stupid problem only?

    :)

  2. auto trivia restart script?

I know everyone is so busy here so I'm suggesting an auto restart script so trivia is a benefit instead of a burden. Can anyone make this script?

    auto restarts

If you look at your Update History and compare that with the time the restart occurred you could determine if you had such an update.

Otherwise have a look at your event viewer to see if there was a restart for other reasons.

    Windows 10 auto restarts

"Between all suggestions, including the one there, there is nothing that has worked." I hate to sound reduntant but I just had to repeat myself since it still applies.
An additional factore that may have bearing is that at some point my system converted to trying to boot off of my external drive if it is plugged in. Nothing has worked in attempting to resolve that issue either. As I said it may or may not have a bearing on the restart issue.*sarc
