Windows 10: How to turn off blocking files from another computer.

I am an artist and professional photographer I transfer 100 of picture files from one windows 10 Computer to another to edit and post. Widows blocks these files so editing and posting are very problematic. How do I stop windows 10 from doing this. Both machines are mine and I use a stick to transfer files. The first computer is hooked to a camera for live view. Second is for editing and internet posting. I need to scale the pictures for posting and windows will not let me do this. I can scale them in a windows or third party photo editor but windows will not change the picture scale and down

It's possible that Computer Management is being blocked by SmartScreen. We suggest disabling it and see if it helps. Follow the steps below:

1. Click the Start button.
2. Type smartscreen in the search bar.
3. Click Change SmartScreen settings.
4. Click the drop-down arrow in the Security row.
5. Click Change settings beneath the WindowsSmartScreen row.
6. Click Don't do anything (turn off Windows SmartScreen).
7. Click OK.

 

Turn On Windows Defender Block Suspicious Behaviors in Windows 10  

The DWORD is set to 0 and I cannot get the process you suggested in the "NOTE" portion of the tutorial to work. Two attached screen shoots will show the before and after attempts to change the Permissions necessary for access to the DWORD change.




Access is denied. (Note-Protected folder in Defender is turned off)

 

Block File sharing in Wifi network, Windows 10

• Change the view type to Large Icons.
• Click on Network and Sharing center.
• In the left navigation pane, click on Advanced sharing center.
