Windows 10: how to turn off cortana asking me to put it on my phone?

For the love of god how in the world do I turn off the Cortana message that keeps asking me to put her on my smartphone.

I don't own a smartphone where I can put Cortana on it, I keep hitting "not now" but everytime I open Cortana the message is back, the thing takes up over half of Cortana's screen, getting sick and tired of having to click is off everytime just to see my sport scores and stuff.



< this is what I want to remove permanently.

Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated.

I want Cortana off my Computers!!!

When I first got Windows 10 I turned Cortana off (well as much as I could). With the most recent update Cortana can no longer be turned off!!!. This is unacceptable. That stupid little icon on the bottom left constantly reminds me that I'm constantly
being spied on. Why else would you put out an update that not only turns it back on but PREVENTS me turning it off and making it even more invasive.

This afternoon I was on my facebook page, I right clicked and there was a new option "Ask Cortana". I want to be able to COMPLETELY uninstall Cortana from my computers.

How do I turn off get Cortana on your phone, when you tap on Ask me anything in cortana

 

Best guess is to go to Settings > System > Notifications > turn off get tips tricks etc? Just a guess as I don't have Cortana. I'm running the Education version which doesn't have Cortana.

 

Nope that won't work. I have even nuked anything to do with phones from all my systems, and I get the same thing too.
I even have a thread about it in Feedback Hub: Error - Windows Insider Program Terry go ahead and Upvote it AND leave a comment there.

 

I clicked on the "Get it on GooglePlay" link, left that open idle in the browser window for an hour or so, haven't seen the annoying thing in Cortana ever since.

 

Sometimes I wonder what I'm missing not having Cortana, then there are times like this where I'm glad I don't have her installed.

I get similar prompt on my XBOX asking me to install the XBOX Glass App on my phone. I haven't figured out how to kill that either. It's just one extra button press to play the game so I've just put up with it so far.

 

Trying it right now, will report back if it works.

 

I should also mention: I entered the 'BS' generic 'Hollywood' phone number, 555-555-5555; it errorred out but, I'm thinkin, if the prompt/advert detects that you made an effort to acquire the app, then the advert may stay away!

I used a made up number(I hope no one has it, but they just get an automated message if they do*Huh) from my home town in the states.

I nuked her.
