windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

 

Rear audio ports always show as “Not plugged in”


I've been having this issue with Windows for about a week now which NONE of the back panel/front panel connectors (speakers, microphone) are being recognized by Realtek audio manager. The only audio input/outputs that are showing are the optical.
Troubling shooting steps I've tried (none worked):

• COMPLETELY uninstall all Realtek drivers/reinstall
  
• Tried using windows drivers
  
• Reinstall Windows 10
  
• Upgraded chipset driver
  
• sfc /scannow

I called EVGA and asked for RMA but then I booted into a Ubuntu OS and all the ports work FINE. It must be a problem with windows 10.
Can you think of any other troubling shooting step I can try to fix this annoying issue? Thanks!

After looking in Device Manager under Audio inputs and outputs, I don't see any speaker/microphone listings, only the optical crap:

 

Settings for windows 11 feature that allows "focus" on one window and dims other windows. I turned feature on, find it quite annoying but now cannot find setting to turn off.

RE windows 11 feature that allows you to "focus" on one window at a time, and dims other windows.

For example, I have multiple windows open, I click on one window, and the other automatically windows dim. Optimal focus goes to current active window.

Practical example: When I am drafting graphics and want to cut and paste, as soon as I select snipping tool, all other windows go dim so window I wanted to snip from is darkened when I use snip tool.

I turned on this feature in a setting somewhere. From memory setting was premised to make it easier to see which window was the active window. Now that laptop is setup and I'm using it for work, I have found this feature to be very annoying but now cannot find any reference, nor setting on how to turn it off.

This does not seem to be a "Power" setting.

This does not seem to be a "Brightness and Color" setting.

This does not seem to be an "Accessibility" setting.

Help please... I'm nearing resetting my laptop to get this feature disabled which I really don't want to do!
