Windows 10: how to turn off fn lock

    how to turn off fn lock


    I own a 11.6" 2-in-1 Convertible Notebook made by gateway and my function keys don't work right like f5 is supposed to turn up the volume instead it refreshes my page on edge and i thought that it was fn lock but my pc does not seem to have the fn lock button so i looked it up online and found nothing so I came here to ask how to fix that

    that is what fn does, num lock turns the number pad on or off yes - but it only matters for a dedicated number pad. those are normally arrows when turned off.

    Laptop FN Lock?

    No, the num lock is the orange one near the top right. When turned off it is the keys U, I, O, P etc. you can see the orange on the keys. It sounds exactly like he needs to press Num lock on the top right of the keyboard.

    Are you sure it's not the num lock rather than FN lock? Sounds like num lock to me.
