  1. How to turn off Maximise when dragging app to the top?

Before anyone says "turn off the snap function in multitasking" I want to point out IT IS ALREADY SWITCHED OFF!!!I have multiple screens and this happens on 2 computers running Win 11. This is really frustrating as I have multiple aps running for work and need to shuffle between them. There doesn't seem to be a "fix" for this. I have tried searching a solution and most of the answers are "turn of snap windows" this obviously DOESN'T work. I've even turned it on to untick every selection there and then turn it off again and it still happensIf this is a "feature" that cannot be gotten rid of,

    :)

Issues when trying to maximise a window on a second monitor.

I used to be able to drag a window over to the second monitor, then double click on the top of that window to maximise it. Now when I do this it brings the window back over to the primary monitor and maximises over there. How to resolve? Thanks.

Dragging apps to desktop for shortcuys

    Hi Lance,

It's possible that some settings are preventing you from adding shortcuts to the desktop. We'd like to learn more about your concern so that we could provide the proper resolution. We just have a few questions for you:

    • Which build version of Windows 10 is on your computer? To check, click
      Start
, type winver, and press Enter. For example, 14393.1066.
    • Does this happen when you try dragging all apps to the desktop, or just a specific app?
    • Are you using an administrator account?
    • Is your computer connected to a private domain?
    • What troubleshooting steps have you done so far?

As an initial recommendation, we suggest following these steps as a workaround:

    • Right-click on any empty part of the desktop.
    • Click New > Shortcut.
    • Navigate to the folder location of the app you want and select it.
    • Click OK.

We look forward to your response and the result of the initial troubleshooting.
