Windows 10: how to turn off that stupid gimmick effect in windows 11 that happens when you turn...

It's rare for a day to go by without coming up with some pointless gimmick that Microsoft put in Windows to make it look more modern and closer to macOS when it keeps on being decades behind. Instead of really useful things, like OCR in all pictures and videos that macOS has had for years, they put some of the GUI team on developing these dumb gimmick effects like the zoom out-then zoom in that every freaking monitor that is on does whenever you turn a monitor on or off. Annoying as hell, and it has no point.Instead of telling your GUI team to spend time and money coming up with this obnoxious

Windows 10 wifi not turning on Acer Aspire laptop

In order to get the list of available wireless networks, you have to:

1. Switch on Connect to suggested open hotspots (see the screenshot in question);
   
2. Click on Wifi icon in the right corner. Now you have your networks back.
   

After that the parameter from Step 1 can be turned off, networks will be listed normally after restarting Wifi.

P.S. I feel rather stupid at the moment. I thought that open hotspots are passwordless hotspots and so are presumably not very safe. So of course I've turned that off during installation.
Really hard to see any logic in this case.

Turning Cortana Back On

We understand your concern and we will provide the assistance required to help you resolve the issue.

Before we proceed, I would like you to provide the information stated below:

• What happens when you try to turn it on?
• Do you get any error message when your trying to turn it on?
• Did you make any changes to your computer after you turned Cortana Off?

For now, I would suggest that follow the steps below and check if you are able to start Cortana.

• Go Settings, Time & Language, Speech, Speech, inking, & typing
  privacy settings.
• Get to know me - turns Cortana on
