Windows 10: How to turn off touch screen on a Windows 10 monitor?

I got a wet splash on my monitor in two spots and now it is permanently registering touch in those spots even after I clean them off. I can't use my mouse or touchscreen to navigate, only my keyboard. Is there a way to turn touchscreen off without having to click anything or do I just need to buy a new monitor now?

touch monitor not working

1. monitor:
   • Panasonic touch-screen monitor.(interactive white board)
   • connected with pc running on windows 7 proffessional.
   • upon turning on it says "touch screen detected" and "touch control transferred to local device."
2. PROBLEM :
   • Touch screen is not present under Device manager>HID.
   • Device manager > monitor shows "generic non-pnp monitor".
   • Pen-and touch settings are missing from control panel.
   • even though monitor supports the touch screen windows says "pen or touch input is not available for this display. "

 

How to turn on monitor in touch screen

It did not work. I followed any advice in that page. I have even calibrated the Screen for Pen or Touch Input. But no avail. Touch screen works perfectly when screen is on.... but monitor is not turned on when I tap on it.

 

Dell Monitor Touch Screen MOnitir & Windows 10

Since installing Windows 10, I cannot enable the touchscreen on my Dell S2240T monitor. The pen/touch option is not showing in hardware/sound nor can I find it under the HID list either. Any Suggestions?
