Windows 10: How to turn off windows updates?

Every single day I get an update. I shut off my pc, it installs the update. The next time I turn on my pc my sound drivers are gone. I reinstall them, I reboot my pc to complete installation. The next time I go and turn off my pc it forces me to update before turning it off and then it updates but all the update does is remove my sound drivers. The devices still work but on apps like discord I cannot select a different output or input device but the ones windows makes me use are trash. The default microphone from my headphones (which are the only ones it allows me to have) has a bad quality but I cannot select the other microphone because it doesn't get picked up. Every time I want to join a voice chat I have to reinstall the drivers and reboot because if I am not on that session where I reinstalled them they're not there. This happens every single day and sometimes twice a day.

To address this concern, we suggest that you follow these steps on how to turn off the Jump Lists on Windows 10:

• Go to Start menu, search Settings, then press
  Enter.
• Click Personalization.
• Select Start.
• Turn off the Show recently opened items in Jump Lists on Start or taskbar.

How do I turn automatic emoticons OFF in Windows Mail?

• What OS are you running?
• Are you also using 3rd-party security program? If so, please consider disabling it, as some could turn off Windows Defender automatically.
