Windows 10: How to type ISO 15919 characters like r̥̄, m̐, k͟h, s̤ using the English India keyboard in...

I was looking for a concrete solution to this problem of mine and I am sure of many others. I wanted to type in the ISO 15919 characters on windows 10 using the simplest method or method with least steps involved. I found out that I could type those characters using the English India keyboard on windows 10. So, I started typing in the characters, but I wasn't able to type all of them, especially the ones like ž, ǣ etc. I was following the keyboard layout from this link. So, I found this key according to the layout which was unutilized in my case.You can see that ,comma key in orange

Hi I'm Peter an independent advisor, did you make any changes to the computer prior to this issue?

I suggest that you try the steps below and check if it helps.

On the search bar type “Control Panel” and then go to “Clock, Language and Region”.

Click on “Language” and on the left pane, locate “Advance Settings” and click on it.

Locate “Override on Default Input Method” click on the drop down box and choose your preferred language (English US).

Also make sure that “Override for windows display language” drop down box is set as English (US).

Click on “OK” and restart your system and check if it resolves your issue.

If that doesn't work try uninstalling and reinstalling the keyboard drivers:

Press Windows key + R to open up a Run box. Then, type “devmgmt.msc” and hit Enter to open up Device Manager.

Inside Device Manager, scroll down through the devices list and expand the Keyboards drop-down menu.

Then, right-click on Standard PS/2 Keyboard and choose Uninstall device.

Click the Uninstall button again to confirm.

Note: After you click the Uninstall button, it’s very likely that your keyboard will become unresponsive.

Use your mouse to trigger a machine restart. At the next startup, Windows will automatically reinstall the missing Standard PS/2 Keyboard. If the issue was related to a corrupted file within the Standard PS/2 Keyboard driver, your keyboard should no longer
output the wrong characters.

 

N97 mini keyboard character problem.

Hey there everyone.

I have a N97 mini and everything was OK until i realised something wrong with the keyboard characters. Normally i use the menu languages in Turkish and Keyboard input language in English to avoid special character problems online. The keyboard layout is
in QWERTY english too. But regardless of the input language (I tried it in English too), the upper characters in the letters j k l z x c v b n m work as Turkish special characters making be unable to write ( ) % & etc. with the keyboard and i have to use the"sym"
button everytime. Is there any way of fixing this ?

Thank you for posting your concern. In some cases, this is happening if your keyboard layout is not configured properly or set to UK keyboard layout. Because in UK keyboard layout it will give you " instead of @ when you press Shift key + 2. Also, this could
also be an issue with the hardware itself. We would like to know more information, please answer the following questions below:

• What is the build version of your Windows? To check it, tpye in winver
  on Search bar and hit Enter.
• When did this issue start?

Meanwhile, you can perform the following troubleshooting steps:

• Change the keyboard layout. Go to Settings > Time & Language > Region and language > Click on Add a language and choose English, then choose English (United States)
• Disconnect and reconnect the keyboard.
• You can also run Keyboard troubleshooter. Type in troubleshoot on Search bar and open it, then look for Keyboard and run it.
