Windows 10: how to unblock stuff with this C:\Users\DELL>notepad.exe...

I blocked stuff on my daughters laptop using that in cmp it sent me to notes and this is what it looks like or says # Copyright c 1993-2009 Microsoft Corp.# # This is a sample HOSTS file used by Microsoft TCP/IP for Windows. # # This file contains the mappings of IP addresses to host names. unblock exe

I am the administrator of my laptop. I received an error after downloading an exe.
How to unblock a exe from installing? I know that I didn't block it.

 

Access to Notepad denied after EVERY log in to Win 10.

I also tried to find the notepad icon (as suggested by another source) in C;\Windows\Systems32 but could not get it to accept notepad.exe

I understand that your notepad is not functioning properly after you have accidentally opened a notepad file. Please restart your device and see if the notepad is working again.

If you still have the same, I suggest repairing your Notepad app. Follow the steps below.

Press Win logo key + Q to open the search box and type Notepad> right-click Notepad at the top of the result list > App settings > Repair. Then restart your device.

If the issue still persists, please follow the steps again, and this time choose reset. After resetting, please restart your device again.
