Windows 10: How to uncap/increase windows sound?

You know how in VLC media player, you can increase the sound up to ''200%''? How can I uncap windows ''allowed'' sound to same levels?



Watched a video, an on 200% VLC its definitely louder, than regular max volume on youtube or any other system/app sound.

Besides using audio enhancers/secondary apps, is there a way how to uncap the ''max'' volume?



Pretty absurd that OS should limit hardware ability.

Good surround sound headset

I know you say you're not that guy, but stepping into the $250+ range really brings a change in build quality that might have you never having to buy another set. Otherwise, getting 6 speakers with decent sound in a headset is hard, and that's what you are asking for, and I have no suggestions, but just a bump up the list. *Stick Out Tongue

 

Windows 10 sound issue: sound volume randomly increases!

Thank you for writing us back.

I would suggest you to go through the below steps:

Steps: Try to uninstall the driver:

a. Press Windows key+X.

b. Click on Device Manager.

c. From the list, expand the sound driver.

d. Right click on the sound driver and click on uninstall and do not check the box and click on ok.

e. Reboot the computer, it will automatically take the sound driver and then again go to sound driver using above steps and right click on it and select update to update the driver and again reboot the computer and check if it helps.

Increase the window size step by step and watch your vga temps permanently.
What happens?
If it crashes, run at stock speeds as suggested before and retry.

P.S.: When your system locks, does the display signal turn off after a time?
Stuttering sound or no sound at all when freezing?
What X1800XT model do you own exactly?
