Windows 10: How to underclock the computer with software, instead of BIOS

Hello! I have an Asus G733CX with an i9-12950HX. When the laptop is connected to the power supply it uses all it's power, but it does not make any sense. I have noticed that when playing youtube videos, the clock will go up to 4000Mhz, and the chip will heat up to crazy 85º. When there is no youtube video it will go down to an average of 60-63º. It makes sense these temperatures for a demanding videogame, but not for youtube. My work involves videocalls, and those do not reach the temperatures that youtube does. How can I use Armoury Crate, or any other reliable software to be able to swtich b

CPU underclocked since upgrade to Win 10

Upgraded to Windows 10 yesterday (finally!) and really love the new OS. However, since the update my CPU (Celeron 900) has been running underclocked @ 1.89-2.00 GHz instead of the normal 2.2 GHz. The laptop is always plugged in and runs @ 100% CPU 24/7
due to distributed computing program called BOINC that I have installed that uses all spare CPU cycles. This underclocking never occurred on Win7 so I doubt its a thermal throttling issue. Is there a way to correct this? Also, what happened to Turbo Boost
? I have a Win 8.1 laptop ready for upgrade but will not do so if I will lose turbo and experience underclocking as well. Please help prevent me from taking the unwanted step of reverting to Win7.

 

access BIOS settings in Win 10

I have an 8-year old computer running Win 10. I need to access the BIOS settings. It used to be the holding down the F2 key during startup would bring up the BIOS screen in Windows computers. But this no longer works. A web article listed a complicated
series of steps leading to a reboot . . . but still no access to BIOS. Any suggestions?
