    how to undo a clean boot slate


    i started my pc in a clean boot slate to see why some of my games aren’t showing the cursor when full screened, but when i attempted to login, i was met with a screen that says “Something happened and your PIN isn’t available. Click to set up your PIN again.” Does anyone know how to fix this?

    Attempted to do a Clean Boot but forgot to Hide Microsoft Services

    Interesting scenario . . .

    Try this:

    • Reboot.
    • Turn the machine off with the power button when the spinning circle appears.
    • Repeat this exercise two more times.
    • Reboot. You will now get the boot menu.
    • Boot into Safe Mode and undo the fatal step. Alternatively you could use System Restore.

    The easiest way to undo this would be to do a system restore using a restore point dated before you disabled all services by mistake.

    Did you try opening msconfig from the Run (Win+R) dialog?

    If you are able to open msconfig, then you can do this below to undo it.

    1. Uncheck Hide all Microsoft service.
    2. Click on Enable all.
