Windows 10: How to Undo Win 7 and Win 10 Dual boot

How do I Undo Win 7 and Win 10 Dual boot with the dual boot in Win 10 MSCOBFIG, and be able to boot to Win 7 separate from booting to Win 10. I know I can change the boot order in the BIOS, but I am afraid that if I simply delete Win 7 from MSCONFIG in Win 10, I won't be able to boot to Win 7 even if it is selected in the BIOS.

Win 10 boots...

I can't answer to the speed of Win-8 booting. I tried the Win-8 preview and went back to Win-7 after a month. They say that Win-8.1 is a lot better than Win-8 was.
My Win-10 TP is working well ATM.

 

Upgrade to Win 10 from dual boot win 7 / win xp

Thank you, davem121. I have upgraded the mobo and processor several times so I think they will be OK for win 10 - though I will check as you suggest.

I will also disconnect all except the sata win 7 drive as you suggest. Can I reconnect them later or will the presence of win xp (which I don't need) on one of them upset things? Do you think I could uninstall the win xp part of the dual boot before upgrading
to win 10?

Dual-boot Win10/7 or go back to Win 7

I only use, or recommend, dual boot if a new/separate HD is out of the question. Way less hassle and potential problems.
