    How to uninstall a non existent program that windows is telling me to manually delete in...


    I downloaded the Windows 10 setup to update my windows. Before it fully finished, the setup required me to manually delete an app called "VirtualBox". I searched for it in my laptop but could'nt seem to locate it. Does anyone know a solution that might help?

    Tasks still show in Task Scheduler despite being deleted

    The OP has not mentioned deleting any program files.
    The folder identified by the OP contains Task scheduler task definitions and nothing else.

    I am not trying to suggest that the method the OP used is a good one.

    agree, manually delete the folder, clean the register and delete from Add/remove list *Smile How to uninstall a non existent program that windows is telling me to manually delete in... :)

    Welcome to Microsoft Community. I appreciate your effort in resolving this issue.

    - Did you try un-installing the program from programs and features?

    I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if it helps.

    Repairing or removing programs

    To uninstall programs, go to Settings.
    • On the Start menu, then select Settings.
    • Select System > Apps & features.
    • Select the program, then select Uninstall. Some apps that are built in to Windows can’t be uninstalled.
    • Follow the directions on the screen.
    If you are still unable to uninstall the program, follow the steps below.

    • In Search, enter Control Panel and select Control Panel.
    • Select Programs > Programs and Features, then select the program.
    • Select the program, then select Uninstall. Some apps that are built in to Windows can’t be uninstalled.
    • Follow the directions on the screen.

    Let us know the status.
