Windows Updated(16299.309).KB4088776 Restart is required to complete.

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

Thanks for the suggestions and for the time to respond How to uninstall completely the TavernComn_2_1 & TavernComn_1_1 service :) Best regards.

And thanks for the tip of that program, I'll have it on my list.

    More complete uninstall

    Bill -

What is the Service or any other presence you said it created even though it didn't install? Are you able to disable that service? Is it listed in msconfig>Services as I asked before and didn't get an answer?

Please report back all listings for this program wherever it appears. In addition do a search in Search box for it's root name to see where all it shows up, including "Search My Stuff" and then at the bottom "File Explorer."

Unhide Hidden Files at Control Panel>File Explorer Options>View to see if it is listed in Program Data, Program Files or any of your User name AppData folders.

In this case what often works is to actually install the program, restart and then use the uninstaller in Programs and Features while first disabling the program in Services and Startup as Andre suggests.

If it won't install Right click task bar to open Task Manager.
    If necessary show More Details

On Details tab look for msiexec.exe, highlight to End Task. While there scour all listings to see if you spot something from the program there to End its Task too.

Now try install or uninstall again.

If this doesn’t help you can try to repair Windows Installer using the script at
Repair MSI (Windows Installer) - MajorGeeks

This can be symptomatic of corruption. I would go over the integrity of your install by working through the steps for
    Windows 10 Install Integrity Checklist

If this fails, then look over these steps for
How to Delete a Program Completely by Modifying the Registry (Windows)
    . If you'll both set a

    System Restore point
and do the Regbackup specified in the link, then you'll be safe as long as you only use the root word of the program to search and make sure in the context of the keys you delete that it is that actual program. If you need help determining
any of this, report back the exact program and the Service you said it left that you Disabled. Also in msconfig>Services is it listed, and if you look at the Program File location and any registry key listed what are these?

Deleting the Program Files, hidden Program Data, and all named Registry Keys for the program is probably more than sufficient. I'd even be satisfied with disabling any listings, deleting any of its files, then running CCleaner Disk and Registry cleaner.

Feel free to ask back any questions, or report back results as you go.
