Windows 10: How to Unlock HP Laptop Forgot Password Windows 10?

My HP laptop is stuck on the login screen and is not making any progress, as I have forgotten the password for my Windows 10 account. Now, I am unable to access any files or data on my HP laptop. I have tried several passwords that I usually use, but no luck. I am in urgent need of a solution to unlock HP laptop forgot password Windows 10 without losing any data or files. Can someone guide me on the steps to reset the password or any other way to unlock my laptop?

Forgot Windows 10 password...

So I fired up my laptop in order to use it to flash a router without mucking around with the rest of my networking... and I forgot the password to log in. Is there anything I can do short of reinstalling windows, or downloading a Linux LiveCD? (If I do have to download something, I'd prefer the file size to be as small as possible, because of evil data caps)
