Windows 10: How to unlock when you get message "This device is locked by an administrator"

My Windows 10 computer is locked. I got the message "this device is locked by an administrator" but can't log into computer with my admin account to unlock it. I may have locked it unintentionally from a different computer in my house using the "devices" option but can't find the computer now on that to unlock it remotely either. I have booted the locked computer from a USB device. I selected Repair, Advanced, Command Prompt. I tried the command "wmic useraccount" but that returned "No Instances Available" so I can't add a new local admin that way. How do I unlock this computer?

Unlock windows 10 device after remote lock

There is no UI I can find to do so online on the microsoft sight - selecting the device shows me where the device is, and that it's locked, and a message that any of the local administrators can unlock it.

Let us try the below steps to unlock and check if it helps.

• I suggest you to restart the computer, try to unlock and check if the issue persists.
• Use On-screen keyboard to type in your password and check if it helps.

Click on the Ease of access on the lock screen at the right-bottom corner, turn on
On-screen keyboard to type the password.
