Windows 10: How to up a Hughes Network Satelite Modem on a New Windows 11 Computer

Support,A friend had to get a new computer so he got a custom built one but he cannot access the Internet using his Dish.Net Satellite Modem Hughes Network HT1100 although it worked fine with his Windows 7 computer. He took it back to the business that built it and it connected fine to the Internet.. When the Microsoft Troubleshooter is run, no problem is found. He called Dish.Net Support and they said to call Microsoft Support. So he called Microsoft Support and the recording said basically that all Support is done online! How do you go online when you cannot access the Internet? Obviously,

Getting a new computer. Need a new Modem

So I'm getting a new computer this Christmas (yay parents...) but I dont have a wireless connection so I need a new modem. I have searched google everywhere to no avail, and Bellsouth SUCKS with customer support. So I decided to ask you guys. What would you suggest for the best modem for DSL within $20-$40?

 

Help needed with simple wired network

Step one- Connect all PC's to router, and then the router to the modem. PC's go to router by the ports labeled "1-4" on the back of the router. WAN port goes to router. Power up all network equipment, and then systems.
Step two- Power on the computer connected to port one. Go into router settings at 192.168.0.1 and configure internet, dyndns, firewall, etc.
Step three- Go to "network set up wizard" in windows. (Network places- network set up wizard). The rest is self explanatory.
Step four- right click on each drive and printer you want to share, and then configure sharing preferences. Should be easy enough.
Step five- right click my computer, and the select "map network drive". Using the network address for each piece of hardware you shared, assign network drive letters.

New computer network setup

Hi, I just created my own new computer and would like to transfer my network to it. How would i go about this? i have a completely new OS loaded with no network driver on it. Can i simply plug the modem and wireless router into my new computer and it will work or must i put some things on that computer first. I would hope to eventually get rid of this computer (the main one in the network) so i would like the new one to be the new home computer.
