Windows 10: How to Update Display Name

We have a new hire, and I accidentally misspelled his last name wrong when creating his account in Active Directory. Now, the good news is, his username is correct. I was able to fix his Display Name in Active Directory, so Outlook now shows his correct name when he sends out e-mails. However, on his log in screen, his name still displays incorrectly.

Is there any easy way to fix this? Again, his username and e-mail address are correct. I've fixed his spelling in Active Directory, but is there a way to force an update to his Windows 10 Pro laptop?

Remove alphabet from App Listing on Windows 10 Start Menu?

There may be an element of confusion here...I've noticed that not a single person has explicitly mentioned what the letters are actually for...

The letters are for navigation purposes, not organization. Tapping/Clicking them allows you to jump to a section without having to scroll or scan the entire list...they're actually a hidden/collapsed interactive index.

With that out of the way, there's no doubt that the usefulness of the index depends greatly on the user and the type of device they're on; a control for index behavior will always be ideal.

RE: MS listening to feedback,

They've made a lot of user-feedback changes to many OS elements already...they're obviously responding to general feedback faster than they ever have in the past. Of course...this must continue indefinitely, not just during specific development cycles --
at least, at some rate -- especially where mobile computing and Windows usage share are concerned. In the meantime, SUBMIT, SUBMIT, SUBMIT.

 

Cannot join homegroup - no password

New computer and I don't know the password to join the home network. The laptop it was set up with has been sold and wiped already.

How can I join the home network?
