Windows 10: How to update from Windows version 1909 - error 0x800707e7

Windows is stuck on update 1909.When I attempt to do any form of windows update it installs and then when it finishes, it reverts itself back to version 1909."Feature update to Windows 10, version 21H2 Failed to install 0x800707e7"I've tried numerous things to solve this, outside of doing a new installation of Windows.Thanks.

I understand that you receive an error, ‘0x800707e7’ while installing Windows 10 1909 update. I’ll certainly assist you with this.



However, please let us know the make and model of the computer and version of Windows installed.
Refer Which version of Windows operating system am I running?



I would suggest you to try running Windows update troubleshooter on the computer and see if that helps. Refer the article on

You can also try resetting Windows update component and see if that helps. Refer the article

If the issue persists, I would suggest you to refer the troubleshooting steps mentioned in the article
Troubleshoot problems updating Windows 10 and see if that
helps.



Note: The last step in the article talks about performing a clean installation of Windows. Please do not perform a clean installation.



Note: While performing chkdsk on the hard drive if any bad sectors are found on the hard drive when chkdsk tries to repair that sector if any data available on that might be lost.

Error code 0x800707E7 - 0x3000D

Hello

I tried to update my pc from windows 10 pro version 1909 to version 2004 but every time I got the error code 0x800707E7 - 0x3000D. I tried all suggestions that Microsoft and other forums mentioned but it did not help. I disconnect all external hardware,
disable antivirus, use DSM, ...etc. but no help. Always getting the same error code. I use windows assistant and media creation tool but always getting the same error code. In my kids pc the update succeeded using media creation tool, and also succeeded in
my laptop with regular update. Could you please help me with upgrading my pc to windows 10 version 2004.

Can I Update Windows 10 version 1909 to version 21H2 (latest)?

Then Please send the useful steps to do that...

By changing windows version 1909 to 21H2 does it removes all files(music, videos, software,etc.) present in my laptop or it is safe, nothing will be deleted.

Now I am not getting critical updates for windows version 1909.

Please anybody give suggestion regarding this matter.
