    I dont know what to do now. I've searched high and low, I'm trying to find a installation from my laptop running windows 10. `I want to download it through a usb stick and plug it into my laptop running vista. and hopefully itll work. I just cannot find it.

    Is this true? Will I have to install Vista and SP1 in order to upgrade to 7? Or can I just format my C drive and pop it on?

    it seems that alot of the suggestions people gave in longhorn were implemented in windows 7 instead of vista, wth

    After Vista Beta 2, they went full on Windows 7.

    The reason it's a lot more stable than Vista was at this stage in development is because Windows Vista was made from scratch. Windows 7 is built off of Windows Vista. Windows 7 is what Vista was supposed to be, but it was rushed out for the interm release.
