How to use [32bits] PCI boards on Windows 10 [64bits] ?

Hi everyone,I have recently got a desktop HP optiplex 7060 with a windows 10 [64bits].I tried to use the regular PCI boards I previously used with Windows XP[32] or Windows 7[32]. 2. How using [32bits] PCI boards on Windows 10 [64bits] ?

    Hi everyone,

    I have recently got a desktop (HP optiplex 7060) with a windows 10 [64bits].

I tried to use the regular PCI boards I previously used with Windows XP[32] or Windows 7[32]. As those PCI boards couldn't fit a PCI express slot, I plugged an adapter. It used to work on 32bits Windows OS....as long as they were [32bits] OS.

Now, when purchasing a brand new desktop station, there is no possibility to buy [32bits] windows anymore (Used desktop are available, on second hand market, though). Only [64bits], at the present time are available.

The boards I want to keep working handle experiment devices (sensors, mainly), difficult to find on the market, or, at really costy price.

I surely may not be the first to ask this question .... :

***Is there any way of using those PCI boards (and thus, the devices linked to those boards) ?***

It looks like, using a converter [32bits] to [64bits] (a kind of expender ?) would do the job. That doesn't sound really regular, nor feasable. This question will certainley make laughing some people here How to use [32bits] PCI boards on Windows 10 [64bits] ? :).

In doubts, I give it a try by asking here, who knows...

NB : a downgrade windows 10 [64bits] to [32bits] didn't change anything : the motherboard appears to be locked on a [64bits] way of working.

My deep greetings to all readers. Thank you for all advices. Be safe.

    32bit or 64bit

Windows 10 64bit you can load 32bit and 64bit applications

Windows 10 32bit cannot run 64bit software, therefore you cannot run apps like QuarkXpress that only come in 64bit versions

64bit Windows can address in theory 16.8 million terabytes

32bit Windows can only address 4GB of which 3.12GB may only be usable depending on the version of Windows you are running

In theory 64bit is much faster than 32bit as a 64bit data word (64 1's and 0's) is processed at each cycle of your processor instead of a 32bit data word. I say in theory as there is

A lot of modern software is now optimised to run on a 64bit processor, therefore will run faster, it took a long time for software manufacturers to re-configure their software to take advantage of 64bit

Basically, if you have the option of running either 63bit or 32bit, you have nothing to lose and everything to gain by choosing the 64bit version . . .

How to use [32bits] PCI boards on Windows 10 [64bits] ?

    Windows 10 32bit and 64bit

I have two similar problems. I have several Windows 7 64bit systems and I need to switch back to 32bit because of driver issues. I have no problems with 32bit Windows 10 but it appears it will not allow me to update a 64bit W7 installation to a 32bit W10
    installation.

In addition before we found the driver problem we upgraded several computers to Windows 10 64bit.

In both of these cases how do we change/update the installation? If I create an .iso file for a DVD will that allow a clean install from 64bit to 32bit?
