  1. How to Use 7.1 channel outputs independently?

I have a MSI B450A-PRO Motherboard. It has a 7.1 channel audio output. I want to use a some channels independent of each other, like I can use the Front Headphone OUT, Rear Speaker out, and other digital outputs connected to the system.

So, I can get some more switchable audio outputs.

right now I have a 5.1 system hooked up to the output, and the SS (Side Speaker) output is unused. I would like to use this SS out for another speaker, with a different application and audio source. Is this possible ?

How would I split left and right audio in Windows and handle as independent channels?

I want to handle the left and right stereo channels as if they are totally separate and independent paths. For example, most Bluetooth speakers have speakers for both channels in one cabinet, and the output is through one Bluetooth connection.

I want to be able to have two independent, single-channel speakers, each with a separate Bluetooth connection, each handling one of the stereo channels, and direct the left channel to one and the right channel to the other.

Is there a way to do this in Windows?

  3. No Audio Output Device is Installed

    Hi,

You will need to select Windows 8 from the drop down list while installing the driver in compatibility mode.

I would suggest you to try setting the speaker as default audio output by following the steps below and check if it helps.

    1. Right click on the sound icon on the right bottom corner of the taskbar.

    2. Select "playback devices".

    3. If "speaker" is not set as the default device, highlight it and click "set as default".

    5. Save the changes.

    Let us know the result.

  4. How to Use 7.1 channel outputs independently?

no output device is installed ... so sound from my laptop

    Hi Vijay,

Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community. appreciate you interest in Windows 10.

I suggest you to check if the audio drivers are installed by checking in Device Manager by following the steps below:

    1. Press 'Windows key + R' and type 'devmgmt.msc' (without quotes) and press enter.

    2. Expand 'Audio inputs and outputs' and check if there are any drivers listed.

If there are no drivers listed, then install the latest drivers available or from the drivers CD which was obtained when you had Windows 7.

Hope the information is helpful. Feel free to
write to us for any other assistance with Windows, we’ll be glad to assist you.
