    Hello, I've recently reinstalled Windows 10, and to my surprise I can't do anything in a window that isn't active. For example, before, I didn't have to click on my VLC player to turn down the volume, and I could freely scroll through explorer even when it wasn't in focus it wasn't clicked and wasn't active. Now I don't have this possibility, so I'm looking for a solution to turn it back again.

    Hi,

    Thank you for posting your query at Microsoft community.

    Do the apps work fine apart form the icons not displaying correctly? If so I would suggest you to run an SFC scan and check if it helps. If the issue persists you may run DISM command and check.

    Follow this steps:


      • Press Windows+X.

      • Click on Command Prompt (Admin).

      • Type the command SFC /SCANNOW and
        DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth and hit
        Enter.
