How to use date range filters in the new v.1909 file explorer search

Prior to the 1909 update, the file explorer search worked much differently and imo was much easier to use. One of the changes I notice is that when you type "date:" or "datemodified:" or "datecreated:" you no longer get the interactive calendar that used to pop up in the previous file explorer search.

Is there a way to set date range filters in the new search other than manually writing them by hand which I probably can't because I don't remember the format used by Windows?

    :)

  2. Advance search missing in File Explorer after update to windows version 1909

The search arrow isn't my main problem - only a discomfort. File Explorer is working just fine. I need to use the advanced search feature that was in the 1809 version that allowed you to filter files modified by a date range. It was in the view tab once
you clicked the search field with the magnifying glass - upper right.

Steps to find it in the old version A) Click the search field, ( Use must do step A or the Date Modified feature wasn't presented on the view tab)
    B) click the View Tab C) Use the section in the ribbon that allowed you to filter by date. (Date modified) - I think that was the option Name in the ribbon
    D) a drop down was presented to choose today, yesterday, 7 days etc..,.. .
Where do I find this feature in File Explorer 1909.

Reversing an update is above my pay grade or understanding. Not an option.

Many thanks for your response - greatly appreciated and I would be over the moon to know how to find where this feature is in the 1909 version.

How to use date range filters in the new v.1909 file explorer search

Searching range of dates; a nightmare

Just click & hold down as you drag across the desired dates. If you drag over the end of the month you see the next month appear automatically but this happens very quickly and you can easily get yourself three months ahead before you've even blinked.

Just in case it's needed - it is not a Kind filter. A Kind filter is not the same. Enter Kind: in the File explorer search box and you will see a special dropdown list appear [that might also be useful for other picture searches you might do in the future].
