How to use Microsoft Narrator For Dyslexics?

Hello all, I am a dyslexic student trying to read paragraphs that I have selected. I am not blind and thus don't need the full screen read to me. Right now, I have various chrome extensions that are TTS programs, but non of them use fancy AI, human sounding voices. I need a reading assistant for any text on the screen, not just on chrome, and thus need Narrator to read specific text that I have selected. Every time I try using it, memorizing the 30 different keys, it still does not do what I want it to. I need to dumb it down and have a start and off functionality only. Please Microsoft, copy

Narrator cause mention pop out feature doesn't work correctly

Hi, currently I have encounter an issue that with Narrator turn on, the website @ mention feature is unable to work correctly.
This issue also able to reproduce in microsoft team web version (https://teams.microsoft.com/), google sheet and etc.

    Step to reproduce:
    1. Open narrator
    2. Open microsoft team in web version
    3. In any group chat, type '@'.

    4. A suggestion list will popup.

    5. Unable to continue key in any text to filter the suggestion list. Narrator will voice 'unavailable' upon key press.

p/s: It seems like Narrator will auto focus on the popup suggestion list option which have been implemented with aria-selected='true' and cause the input key no longer working.

Kindly let me know if there is any suggestion or finding on the issue above. Thanks.

    Microsoft Narrator

I am not sure where to leave this comment, it is really an improvement request for the Microsoft Narrator.

Over the last few days I have been setting myself up to work from home and at the same time doing some training for work. I am dyslexic and thought i would try the narrator to help get through some of the material more efficiently. The target audience for
the narrator seem to be the partially sighted, which is great but shows a lack of UX research into the use cases for the Narrator (My other half is a UX designer and i work in software).

From my perspective as dyslexic I don't want the narrator to read everything but need a quick way (and easy to remember) to read select paragraphs (perhaps with some configurable highlighting).

Also, and this is more general to the narrator, but has a specific impact to me, I would like the voice change in speed to be more natural; when people speak more slowly the speech pattern (including the gap between words) changes. Words are spoken more
slowly not by slowing down the sounds in a linear fashion but by slowing the syllables differently. For me this would make it more easy to parse the words I hear (currently I gain because there is more time to think, but loose because its slightly harder and
more distracting to understand). It feels like the implementation of the speed change happened in a software iteration that didn't include the natural language engineers/scientists. (Yes its a difficult problem, but I would expect Microsoft as a world leader
to be on top of this.)

In review I am asking for my request to be passed on to the appropriate people at Microsoft with the intention of giving the Narrator a proper UX review and hopefully fixing some of these issues. Of course this could also highlight other use cases and that
    would be valuable too.

I do appreciate the work that has been done so far.

    Thanks ,

    John.
