Windows 10: How to use Microsoft Remote Desktop from an iOS device?

I am trying to connect to a Windows 10 Pro PC using remote desktop protocol. From a local windows 10 machine on the same LAN I can connect with no problems. However, when I try to connect from an iPad using the same credentials and from the same LAN, running "Microsoft Remote Desktop 10.4.6 5273", I cannot connect.The symptom is the session gets stuck loading on a blue screen that says, "Please Wait", and never changes. I can see the pointer and move it around the screen.I have turned Logging on to "Information" level and I receive the following error:SessionViewController.swift:1340 View mo

I am attempting to set up my personal laptop with remote desktop using my iPhone and the Microsoft Remote Desktop app, I have followed all the instructions that I can find, but it won't connect. I have put the PC name, I've tried the private IP address. Nothing works. The specific error code is 0x204. Yes, the remote desktop is enabled, and I am connected to the same wifi. If someone could provide a step by step walkthrough or a solution I would greatly appreciate it. (the specific Windows version is Windows 11 Pro)

1. Are you using the Microsoft remote desktop app?
   

If you are using the Microsoft remote desktop app downloaded from
Microsoft store then, I suggest you to follow the steps to
fix problems with apps from Microsoft Store.



If the issue still persists with the Microsoft remote desktop app, then you can contact the support team by going to the

link and scrolling down to the bottom and clicking on
Microsoft remote desktop support under the Publisher info.



However, if you are using the Remote desktop connection, which comes pre-installed with Windows 10, then I suggest you to please post your question in the
TechNet forum.
