  2. Looking for a What-If Build (PCPartPicker)

A while back, I made a pcpartpicker system build list and saved it, thinking that I could get at least half of the parts cheaper if I hunted them down myself (used or slightly new) instead of always taking the auto-chosen selections when clicking add, yet then and now I got vibe checked hard, and its making me feel like crap, so if anyone is willing to help, i'd appreciate it The purpose of this is just to compile a system build/"what-if" list and nothing more, whether the chosen parts are unavailable or their price jumps up a bit or goes down because of some promotional thngy or whatever, it doesnt matter. The ONLY requirement(s) is that the build be centered around the i9-12900K cpu, have at least 32 GB of ram (whether its a 4x8GB or 2x16GB setup), and the GPU is an nvidia GPU, I will provide my current stats ala screenshot and a list of what I consider my failed attempt at making a what-if list (feel free to use this as a base to start with or go fresh, your call). Some items will be missing from this failed list, but those were voluntary removals because I thought I could get them cheaper from ebay, or newegg, whether it still had a manufacturers warranty or not. PEripherals are not needed, ill simply bring the ones from my current setup over. Also, it doesnt matter if the setup won't be super 4k/8k resolution capable, if it can handle 1080p max resolution and maybe broach the 2k range a bit, i'd be happy whether that uses a gtx card or an rtx card

  3. PC Build Steps

Ok just because I like steps i am going to create some steps. Please give me the stamp of approval/disapproval
    • Install system in case
      • Remember to connect SSD and optical to same SATA ports on motherboard
    • Turn on PC
    • setup HDD
    • run blend test in prime95 for 30-60 min
      • run realtemp at the same time
    • While in Prime95 test
      • if CPU goes above 70c in RealTemp, I have a leaky CPU
      • if my system locks up or blue screens, there is an instability in the system somewhere
      • if my system does not lock up or blue screen, my CPU is not damaged and I am in the clear!
    What do you guys think??
