Windows 10: How to verify every PDF image is bitmap or Metafile or others?

I need help to find out if images in PDF are bitmap or Metafile or others.These images are Excel Charts and Tables but I am unsure how they end up in PDF given to me i.e. are they from Excel or Pasted Content ? My understanding up-to-now is bitmap or Metafile are closest to original quality as possible.Is there a tool to list properties of images ? or should I look for DPI of each image? Thanks Ahead!

How To Convert Bitmapped Pdf To RTF or Text or Word

The pdf file is not read/ or write only. Not password protected. I have what I believe is a Bitmapped Pdf (scanned/ OCR?) file that I cannot convert to word nor can I print it again to another PDF file in order to copy and paste text. I tried FoxitReaderPortable with no success. I have come across several online converters but I do not want to upload the file anywhere. I also do not want to contact the entity that sent me the file and ask for a different version. I don't think they have a different version. Ideally I would be looking for a portable bitmapped to PDF to Word editor. A cursory GOOGLE search came up empty. I tried saving it to Google Drive, MS print to PDF and other "tricks" but I failed. Suggestions appreciated.

 

How to compare image saved as Enhanced Windows Metafile

Compare command such as fc not working as expected for image file ( Enhanced Windows Metafile ). Steps to reproduce problem:

1. Create Table using Excel 365
   
   1. select template "Equipment Inventory list"
      
   2. Select Table Range
      
2. Save Table as Test1. emf
   
3. Save same Table as Test2.emf
   
4. run cmd
   
5. execute compare fc /b test1.emf test2.emf
   
6. 16234 Differences encountered; following showing first and last
   
   1. 0001B400: E8 40
      
   2. 000664FC: 08 09
      

Why is there difference encountered?

Microsoft Print to PDF mixes up JPGs.

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

To understand the issue better, I suggest you to answer the below questions.

• What happens when you select small bunch of images and try to print?
• Is the issue specific to the Microsoft Print to PDF?

I would suggest you to follow the below steps and check if it helps you.

• Create a new folder and copy the images you want in PDF.
• Sort the images as you want. (It always copies as per the sorted time/date)
• Set the images in Order/Sequence as you want it to be set in PDF.
• Select all and Print it to PDF.
