Windows 10: How to view unsync files in onedrive file explorer

Hi, recently I reset my windows 10 and I have an issue with my onedrive file explorer after.


So on my previous version (before I do windows reset), I would be able to view all cloud files in onedrive file explorer without downloading them. To download them I simply right click on folder I want and click “make this folder always available on this pc” I can’t remember the exact term but it was something like this. Then the green tick will appear indicate the folder will be always accessible even without internet.


But after the reset, I cannot do that anymore. I cannot view the files in onedrive file explorer that i don’t sync. To view them, i need to sync the files but it will take space in my drive. I prefer they stay out from eating my space.


So my ultimate question is, how do I view all my files in onedrive file explorer without downloading them in my drive. I prefer the older version where I only sync the files I want but at the same time the unsync files are still can be viewed in the onedrive file explorer just in case. Thank you.

File Explorer and viewing pictures

  Open File Explorer.

  Click on View Tab.
  
• 
  Select Detail panel.
  
• 
  Now if you click on any picture or file you will be able to see the information at the top right corner.

Unsynced OneDrive Folders

Folders I've chosen not to sync to my computer from One Drive will not appear in File Explorer. Combined with the disappearance of the OneDrive App, the only way to access unsynced OneDrive folders is by opening a browser. Am I doing something wrong?

 

OneDrive and File Explorer

Users with permissions can view folders with OneDrive online. But not on their PC in File Explorer under OneDrive.

How do I get them to be able to view that they see online in their File Explorer.

I am able to see online and in my File Explorer.
