    How to wipe off a computer but keep the Window 11 Pro upgrade license and joined domain?


    Dear Master,I have upgraded my laptop from Window 11 home to Pro version thru Microsoft website. Now this laptop needs to pass on to someone. How do I to wipe off my data in the computer but keep the Win 11 Pro license and joined domain?Thank you.

    Windows 7 Pro domain joined computers upgrade to Windows 10

    Hi,

    I have about 5 Windows 7 Pro workstations with OEM license that I want to upgrade to Windows 10.

    I have done many upgrades before, but only in machines that are not domain joined.

    This 5 computers are domain joined.

    Has anyone done this before? What do I have to do? I have read that I need to remove the computers from the domain, do the upgrade, and join the domain again after the upgrade is done.

    We want to do the upgrade and keep the users files.

    Will domain joined non volume license Windows Pro clients receive the upgrade offer?

    Domain Joined computers are not supported at this time unfortunately. Your best option is to download the .ISO file and upgrade the computers manually/offline.

    How will Domain Joined computers that are not volume license clients be able to check their systems and reserve the Windows 10 upgrade?

    You will need to use Enterprise Assessment tools for the range of computers you have. The reservation app does not work in complex IT environments.

    Microsoft is likely to release a new version of its Microsoft Assessment and Planning Toolkit (MAP) that will support Windows 10. It can help you quickly inventory small or large IT environments without requiring you to install any agent software in your
    environment.

    Domain Joined Windows 7/8.1 Pro Upgrades to Windows 10?

    I don't know if the initial upgrade on domain joined pc's was successfully addressed, but the gwx.exe will install Win 10 Pro on domain joined computers through Windows Updates.
