Windows 10: How would i go about resetting my computer when i cant get passed the logo, troubleshooting...

I've had this problem for a while and no solution has worked for me. I've been stuck on a boot loop and cant get passed the lenovo logo. I've tried doing some system repair or factory reset commands in the command panel but it doesn't recognize anything, it also starts with X instead of C which is what most people seem to have. Im using an external boot drive because the internal one offers no help. When i go to troubleshooting, it takes me directly to advanced options with no sign of a reset, only repairs that dont work.Any ideas?

Thank you john for all of your help i decided to get the usb my computer came with and factory reset it i didnt have anything that personal or valueable so its ok thanks for the help though i appreciate it

 

Unable to access HP Simple Pass to Sign-in to the computer on Windows 10

• Have you installed HP simple pass software on your computer?

Try the below steps and check if it helps.

Step 1: I suggest you to download the latest HP Simple Pass software from the manufacturer's website install it and check if it helps.

Step 2: If you have already installed the software, I suggest you to re-install it and check if the issue persists.

Follow the steps to Access Recovery Manager:

• Press Start button from the keyboard, type Recover Manager.
• Select Recovery Manager from the list when it becomes available. Allow the action to continue, if prompted. The
  HP Recovery Manager opens.
• Click Software program re-installation, Next , select
  HP SimplePass for the listing and then follow the on-screen instructions to reinstall application

Since none of the troubleshooting steps here worked, I'd suggest you do a Clean install.
