  1. HowTo Expand Win10 EFI-Partition

I've tried to resize the MS EFI-partition (100Mb to 500Mb) on DiskA.

I've tried gparted on my Linux System on DiskB. A warning told me that something went wrong.

On Windows it already shows the 500Mb size. But when i want to copy some files from my Linux System into the EFI-Folder on DiskA, there are only 100MB space.

I guess i have to use a Windows-Install-media to delete + expand and recreate the EFI Partition. Or is there some easier way?

  2. Expand EFI partition

    1. We don't know; ask MS why they don't allow it.

    2. Simply increasing the size of the EFI partition or ESP shouldn't cause any issues. Worst case scenario you might need to run Startup Repair from Win10 Setup media (have it ready), but I don't think it'll be required.

    Move EFI partition

its to enable win 10 to update to its anniversary edition.. it cant do this due to lack of C drive space i have had a quick try with the trial version of easus.. it didnt seem to be able to do what i want..

i am assuming i cant just delete the efi partition but maybe i could.. as yet i havnt even figured out how to get into the bios of the thing.. maybe that should be my next step.. *Smile HowTo Expand Win10 EFI-Partition :)

diskpart could probably do it but figuring out how (it aint that user friendly) might be difficult without step by step instructions..

    HowTo Expand Win10 EFI-Partition

    Expand EFI partition

Hello guys, I want to dualboot both Linux and Windows. I have already installed Windows and the output of fdisk is:

I would like to ask if:

    1) why is it not possible to expand the EFI partition using "diskmgmt.msc"

    2) is it safe to expand it using gparted/parted/fdisk/gdisk?

    Thanks for your help, Luca
