Hi All, HOWTO? Make an APP start at boot no splash screen in systray, any help would be muchly appreciated and i dont mind editing my registry as i have done for many other reasons in the past...

I want to stop the toshiba and windows logo splash screen from loading on start up Making my boot time faster

I went to boot settings and checked the No Gui box but still get splash on boot Do i have to also check the make boot permanent? thank you

I have No GUI checked Yet I still get windows splash screen at start up when I want it to stay disabled

THEN suddenly my touchpad wont stay disabled.. Today I even tried to uninstall driver did restart and that sucker was right back on So annoying I hate touchpads on laptop and Yes I did restart after every task

For splash screen start up Do I also need to chek the Make boot permanent to keep splash screen from reloading

Hi, do you have a particular program in mind? Can you specify what you're trying to do please?

A splash screen is usually displayed in the middle of the screen. An icon is displayed in the system tray.

 

hi, i am using LG SmartShare to play movies from my laptop to my LG BluRay Player over dlna but when i boot my laptop it always shows a splash screen for LG SmartShare and i have to close it or minimize it to tray...

You need to find the icon for the program you want to open on boot-up
I would suggest that you first open it to ensure that it opens without the splash screen sometimes there is a box to tick to say do not show this screen again
If all works fine just copy the icon & paste into the startup folder below
Open the run app. (right click on the window icon extreme left on the taskbar)
Type in shell:startup
OK
The start-up location is found

Hi, a splash screen is usually a picture without window controls and disappears after a short time. Since you have window controls (you can close/minimise it), perhaps it's not a splash screen. So would suggest you ask LG support here:
LG Smart Share: Smart TV Support | LG UK
as this is specific to the program.

There may be a settings option about the behaviour of this window, depending on its function.
