    I recently bought a new HP -15s-eq1520sa 15.6 Laptop - AMD A3020e, 128 GB SSD. I bought it for the purpose of video calling my class for live lessons. However, the video keeps lagging and my video keeps switching on and off. I also keep pausing on the screen. My housemate laptops are all working fine so I don't think it is a problem with the wifi. Is there anything I can do to fix this?

    8 gb RAM vs an SSD for my HP Laptop 15

    I was recently gifted a low end HP Laptop 15. I am having major performance issues. After using for a short while, the system disk IO flatlines at 100% (as seen in Task Manager) and remains there for several minutes (or even tens of minutes). This
    problem is worst when any browser is open, even just s single tab.

    When this bottle neck is in progress, the system becomes unresponsive (so much so that I have to resort to rebooting the computer to get anywhere at all) or it just crashes altogether. I have run searches on
    the web for solutions to this problem, but the fixes are temporary at best.

    I'm contemplating memory and drive upgrades to help alleviate the problem. It currently has 4 gb memory and a 500 gb standard hard drive. I can add an additional 4 gb memory or an SSD. Initially, I can only afford one upgrade. Which of the two should

    Im using a HP laptop. I7 -7TH Gen.16 GB Ram,128 GB SSD. Running windows 10.

    My problem is that my laptop now keep repeatingly restart by itself and it will show 64% complete update and installation. I press f8,f10 or f12 nothing seem to work.

    I want to reformat my laptop. And can you guide me please.

    Hi,

    There are a number of Windows Services that run frequently... One is the "Antimalware Service"...

    This can really slow things down, especially with what is probably a 5,400rpm HDD...

    Depending on the CPU, the machine may be limited in performance simply by that...

    I was not impressed by a fairly new HP laptop with a Intel i5 CPU and 8GB of memory that I purchased...

    Replacing the 500GB 5,400rpm HDD with a SSD made a HUGE difference, but it still takes 15-20 seconds longer to boot than my Desktop machine...

    Look in the Startup tab of Taskmanager... My Laptop had all kinds of stuff preinstalled by the manufacturer..
