Windows 10: HP 24W Intel (R) Display Audio..Puzzled

I have a HP 24W pc monitor which has no built in speakers as i use Creative USB powered speakers ...can i delete this under sound properties ? or does Windows 10 sound properties think these are built in speakers ? I have Realtek High Definition Audio ( latest version installed ).

Ever since Windows 10 been updated my Dvd Player which is connected to monitor via HDMI audio is not heard now, but the video plays perfectly.

Gone through every setting i can think off via Realtek Audio Manager..still cannot hear audio from dvd.

The dvd player is a Samsung Blu -Ray with just HDMI output only.

The dvd audio was ok before Windows 10 update ( no idea which ).

Re-installed Realtek HD Audio / Manager several times with no luck.

Are dvd players not supposed to work with pc / monitor only Tv's.


My Os is Windows 10 Pro 20H2 version 19042.789

My desktop PC is Asus K31ADE

The Intel(R) Display-Audio' drivers are installed as part of your Intel HD Graphics card device drivers when you install those . . .

Open Device Manager (accessible by right clicking your Start Button)

Expand the Display Adapters section

What model of Intel HD Graphics is listed there?

 

Where Can I Download 'Intel(R) Display-Audio' Drivers?

Could you grab the hardware ID for the Intel(R) Display-Audio in Device Manager?

No audio device is installed (How to fix?)

Since you uninstalled the Intel Display audio and you no longer have audio, that suggests you are using HDMI (??) If this is the case then the Realtek is not being used and not causing your problem.

First step as mentioned is to reinstall the Intel Display Audio.
